Overview | Biblical Studies: Women’s/Children’s Ministry
While being given a solid foundation in theology, women in this Biblical Studies track will be uniquely prepared to minister effectively to women and children in the local church. Practical courses covering subjects such as biblical interpretation, expository teaching, the role of women, foundations of education, and child development will all equip students to serve wisely in ministry settings.
Program Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate the ability to articulate and apply the New Testament mandate for discipleship, particularly related to the church.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to defend the need for local church women’s ministry and articulate women’s roles as taught in the scripture.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of child development, both physically and spiritually, to best minster to the youngest in local church congregations.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to articulate biblical theology in a systematic fashion.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of proper Bible study methods, coherent organization of Bible truths within a passage, and effective presentation of those truths.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate and apply biblical truth accurately and effectively in teaching and writing.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to explain the Baptist distinctives in the context of Baptist history.
- Students will demonstrate biblical leadership qualities for the local church.
