Bethany Howard
Assistant Professor
School of Education
Bethany Howard began her teaching career in a low-income, inner-city school, teaching middle schoolers in a self-contained special education classroom. She joined the faculty of Maranatha Baptist Academy when she and her husband moved to Watertown in 2009. In the fall of 2021, Mrs. Howard transitioned to the University, as part of the Special Education faculty. Her years of experience in both a special education classroom and high school, combined with her passion for students, make her a great fit for the School of Education.
Mrs. Howard enjoys taking advanced concepts and helping students “make it practical” for their classrooms someday. “I’m currently studying the Gospels and have been challenged by Jesus as the Master Teacher and the teaching methods He used to spread His message.”
