The Maranatha Drama Team

will Maranatha’s 5-member drama group travels to churches to present an inspirational story of foreign missions that will encourage and challenge believers to trust the Lord and live out their faith. “Operation Auca” shares the true story of five missionaries who were martyred in an effort to reach a reclusive tribe in the jungles of Ecuador in 1956. The drama includes acting, singing, a PowerPoint and video.

University president Dr. David Anderson or a member of the Executive team travels with the group and preaches. The team is directed by Associate Professor Stephen Robertson.

Jaren Fair

Jaren graduated in December with a B.S Church Music with an emphasis on Vocal Performance. He is originally from Newtown Square, PA, and has been serving as assistant choir director for Maranatha Baptist Academy in Watertown. He enjoys basketball, being in plays, and serving in his church’s music program.

Abigail Fair

Abigail is a 2021 MBU Alumni with a B.A in Communication Arts, with a focus on Dramatic Productions. She works on staff in the Development Office, Office of Student Activities, and is Maranatha Baptist Academy’s play director. She has been married to Jaren since 2022!

Victoria Kirby

Victoria is from Pecatonica, Illinois. She is a Communication Arts Major focused on Dramatic Productions, and minoring in English. She loves all things having to do with art, music, drama and people!

Megan Davidson

Megan is a freshman from Saint George, Utah, majoring in Biochemistry. Megan was cast in MBU’s fall play this year, The Matchmaker, which provided incredible opportunities for making friends and building a team. She says, “Participating in rehearsals has given me greater discipline and drive to do well in all aspects of life.” MBU’s drama team is blessed to have her!
