Come, Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy – Free Sheet Music

Jane Dang, a music major with piano pedagogy and arranging concentrations is offering her arrangement of “Come, Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy” as a gift for Easter.

This intermediate piano duet, combining sounds of Western and Eastern culture, is available to download and use in ministry.

As Jane looked for a Bible verse to put with the song, she found Romans 3:23. “I never understood Romans 3:23 like this until I set this piece to both Western and Eastern sound,” Jane states. “What a joy to know that all of us have sinned, no matter how good or how bad the culture is that we’ve grown up with.”

The first verse of the hymn reads, “Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore. Jesus ready, stands to save you, full of pity, love, and power. I will arise and go to Jesus. He will embrace me in His arms. In the arms of my dear Savior, Oh, there are ten thousand charms.”

Through the chorus, Jane takes the melody from the left hand of the Secondo part all the way up to the right hand of the Primo part, illustrating the words “I will arise and go to Jesus.”

After a climactic verse, Jane ends the piece calmly resting in the fact that “All the fitness He requireth is to feel your need of Him.”
